"Etymologies
are not definitions; they're explanations of what our words meant 600
or 2,000 years ago. Think of it as looking at pictures of your
friends' parents when they were your age. People will continue to use
words as they will, finding wider meanings for old words and coining
new ones to fit new situations. In fact, this list is a testimony to
that process. " (Source: Etymonline.com)

known as the Underground, or by its nickname the Tube) is a public
rapid transit system serving London and some parts of the adjacent

City and Metropolitan lines; the first line to operate underground
electric traction trains, the City & South London Railway in
1890, is now part of the Northern line. The network has expanded to
11 lines, that collectively hadle approximately 4,8 million

The Universal Declaration of
Human Rights (UDHR) is a historic document that was adopted by the
United Nations General Assembly at its third session on 10 December
1948 (Resolution 217) as a common standard of achievements for all
peoples and all nations. Of the then 58 members of the United
Nations, 48 voted in favor, none against, eight abstained, and two
did not vote.
The Declaration consists of
30 articles affirming an individual's rights which, although not
legally binding in themselves, have been elaborated in subsequent
international treaties, economic transfers, regional human rights
instruments, national constitutions, and other laws.
