Scoilnet. Database of over 20,000+ online resources #Education

Scoilnet, the Department of Education and Skills (DES) official portal for Irish education,  contains a database of over 20,000+ online resources including websites, quizzes, lesson plans, notes, video/audio, games and other multimedia. You can access our resources from the blue search box at the top of every page

Originally launched in 1998, Scoilnet.ie has been developed as a support for teachers at both primary and post-primary levels and, as of 2014, provides teachers with the option to share and upload their own teaching and learning resources.

Global Digital Library @GDigitalLibrary

The Global Digital Library (GDL) is part of the Global Book Alliance, , an international effort involving multiple stakeholders working to transform book development, procurement and distribution to ensure that no child is without books.  

It collects open educational reading resources, and makes them available in more than 40 languages on web. The platform also facilitates translation and localization of GDL-resources to more than 300 languages.

The GDL is aimed at many different types of users and the platform is open for everyone

CommonLit is a nonprofit education technology organization dedicated to ensuring that all students graduate with the reading, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills

Gentest y elaboración de #Kahoot! para la clase de inglés

Hace casi 20 años, el equipo del CEFIRE de Elda coordinó el trabajo de cientos de docentes para crear una herramienta con el objetivo de que pudiera resultar útil en la enseñanza y aprendizaje.

Así surgió Gentest, un programa cuyo objetivo era la generación tests a partir de unos contenidos estructurados por niveles y distintas asignaturas con grandes posibilidades de personalización y de ampliación. Poco a poco, en sucesivas convocatorias al profesorado se llegaron a las casi 100.000 preguntas. El programa en su versión para docentes (Gentest) y para el alumnado (Test) se difundió en la Biblioteca virtual del CEFIRE de Elda, la extinta Virtu que los y las más veteranas tal vez recordaréis, y en los CD-ROM y DVD que durante cada curso reunían materiales cedidos por el profesorado para su publicación y su reutilización.

Aprovechando las bases de datos de Gentest y gracias a la iniciativa de algunos compañeros a los que tuve el placer de acompañar en una inolvidable etapa profesional, se ha presentado un recurso destinado a crear Kahoot! personalizados para diversas etapas y cursos.

Incluyo aquí para su utilización un enlace desde el que podéis descargar una plantilla, preguntas y explicaciones con el fin de automatizar la creación de Kahoot! para la asignatura de inglés. Interesante, más en estas circunstancias.
