Entrepreneurship education at school in Europe

Entrepreneurship is considered one of the eight key competences for lifelong learning in Europe. It helps young people develop creativity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and the confidence needed to face today’s economic, social, and environmental challenges. Encouraging entrepreneurship in education also supports innovation and prepares students for a constantly changing world.

This report examines how entrepreneurship education is included in different education systems. It looks at areas such as educational policies, how entrepreneurship is integrated into the curriculum, teacher training, and the practical activities students can take part in to develop entrepreneurial skills.

The publication also includes additional tables and information about how entrepreneurship education appears in school curricula and teacher competence frameworks in different countries.

The report covers the education systems of the countries participating in the Eurydice Network, including all European Union Member States as well as several other European countries such as Iceland, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, and Türkiye.

PLASTEAM #ErasmusPlus project

The project aims to raise awareness among primary school students and teachers about the environmental impact of plastics. It encourages responsible use, consumption, and recycling of plastics to create 'plastic-free schools'. By involving teachers and school managers, the project promotes good practices to reduce waste and improve recycling in primary schools.

Key results and outcomes include:

- Plastic Footprint for Schools: An app to monitor plastic waste habits in schools.

- 'Plastic-free Schools' Recommendations and Contest: Identification of plastic consumption challenges, recommendations for sustainable practices, and a contest rewarding the best STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) solution to tackle plastic waste.

- STEAM Box and Labs: A set of tools and activities for teachers to use in their lessons.

This initiative serves as an inspiration for similar projects, demonstrating how schools can effectively engage in reducing plastic waste and promoting environmental sustainability.

Guide for educators How to support multilingual children

Created by Julie Carton and Rita Rosenback, the aim of our guide is to help you create a welcoming atmosphere and a supportiven environment for bilingual and multilingual children in the classroom. 

This guide for educators is one of the outcomes of PEaCH, an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission. The acronym PEaCH was derived from the main goal of the project: ‘preserving and promoting Europe’s cultural and linguistic heritage through empowerment of bilingual children and families’.

Literacy for CLIL

This repository was created as part of the Erasmus Plus project focused on developing literacy skills of students in primary grades when learning English. 

It includes two main parts-the literacy grid template with the explanations and 10 exemplary literacy units with some additional materials such as unit plans, teaching materials, video-taped lesson fragments and commentaries given by students and teachers. 

The initial set of 10 units was created specifically for grades 3, 4, and 5 by international teams of teachers from Poland, Slovenia, and Spain.
