Money can buy anything

This Open Educational Resource (OER) uses English to help students prepare for two of today’s big challenges highlighted in the LOMLOE: digital skills and sustainability. Together, we’ll explore the first four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the 2030 Agenda through active, hands-on tasks. At the end, you’ll work on a final project: creating a hopeful video about the recovery and/or rebuilding of a country.

This OER is part of a set of five learning activities based on the 2030 Agenda. You can use them all together or one by one. Taken as a whole, they cover the Year 9 (3º ESO) English curriculum.

Ecosocial Calendar School Year 2024/ 2025 by Teachers for Future Spain

The Ecosocial School Year Calendar 2024/2025 by Teachers for Future Spain is a resource designed to incorporate environmental and social sustainability themes into education.

This calendar highlights important ecological and social dates, such as international days related to climate action, biodiversity, and human rights. It encourages educators to use these dates as opportunities to integrate discussions on climate change, sustainable practices, and social justice into their lessons.

One key feature of the calendar is its inclusion of QR codes, which link to educational resources, activities, and materials to help teachers engage students in topics related to the environment and sustainability. The calendar highlights the birthdays of notable environmental figures to inspire students and provide role models.

PLASTEAM #ErasmusPlus project

The project aims to raise awareness among primary school students and teachers about the environmental impact of plastics. It encourages responsible use, consumption, and recycling of plastics to create 'plastic-free schools'. By involving teachers and school managers, the project promotes good practices to reduce waste and improve recycling in primary schools.

Key results and outcomes include:

- Plastic Footprint for Schools: An app to monitor plastic waste habits in schools.

- 'Plastic-free Schools' Recommendations and Contest: Identification of plastic consumption challenges, recommendations for sustainable practices, and a contest rewarding the best STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) solution to tackle plastic waste.

- STEAM Box and Labs: A set of tools and activities for teachers to use in their lessons.

This initiative serves as an inspiration for similar projects, demonstrating how schools can effectively engage in reducing plastic waste and promoting environmental sustainability.
