Real-time encyclopedias

Real-time encyclopedias can be very useful for students in order to develop research skills. I would like to show two examples:

Mashpedia http://mashpedia.com/ is a dynamic encyclopedia, that pulls content from different online services in real-time, offering a complete and fresh outlook about (almost) any topic.
Every time you query Mashpedia, it loads information and digital contents from many online sources and then organize them in an easy-to-use interface. At Mashpedia you can find fresh data and digital media from newspapers, magazines, blogs, books, Wikipedia, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Social Answers and more online resources. (Source http://mashpedia.com/about.php)

Zomobo http://zomobo.com/ is a new site that bills itself as a real-time encyclopedia. Zomobo, pulls the latest information available about specific topics that you're interested in. When you look up a topic in Zomobo you will get information pulled from blogs, social networks, Flickr, YouTube, newspapers, news sites, and Wikipedia. CLIL Matrix

The CLIL Matrix is an awareness-raising and training tool for teachers who wish:

- to consider the skills and knowledge necessary for achieving quality CLIL
- to examine the extent to which they are prepared for teaching through CLIL

The CLIL Matrix is a 4 dimensional core framework built around the core elements of CLIL: Content, Language, Integration and Learning. These four elements are realised through a set of four parameters: Culture, Communication, Cognition and Community. This results in a matrix array of 16 indicators. These indicators are the basis for ensuring quality CLIL in learning and teaching of both content and language.
