Storybooks Canada

Storybooks Canada is a free open educational resource that promotes literacy and language learning in homes, schools, and communities. 

You can read, download (text and audio) and listen to stories. You can also choose language (English, French, and the most widely spoken immigrant and refugee languages of Canada) and level (five levels).

It provides teachers with a guide to show how links can be made between the stories and Curricular Competencies by referencing universal themes and activities across grade levels and subject areas.

Unite for Literacy @Unite4Literacy

Unite for Literacy gives children access to books that celebrate their languages and different cultures and cultivate their love of reading.

Interactive Periodic Table of the Elements, in Pictures and Words

Periodic Table of the Elements for elementary, middle, and high schools students on an interactive web page by Keith Enevoldsen. 

It includes the element's name, symbol, and atomic number. Each element box has a drawing of one of the element's main human uses or natural occurrences. The table is color-coded to show the chemical groupings. Small symbols pack in additional information: solid/liquid/gas, color of element, common in the human body, common in the earth's crust, magnetic metals, noble metals, radioactive, and rare or never found in nature.
