World
AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is a day
dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the
spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the
disease.
So
far, AIDS has killed between 28.9 million and 41.5 million people
worldwide and there are over 36 million people living with HIV.
NAT
(National Aids Trust) provides free resources for teachers to use
with young people to educate about HIV in a way that is engaging,
practical and non-stigmatising.
