Linguared

A partir del II Congreso Estatal de Formación del Profesorado "Conectando redes", a través de una de las comunicaciones póster, hemos tenido noticia de Linguared, una red profesional de formación para el profesorado implicado en el Plan de Fomento del Bilinguismo en la provincia de Granada. En su página aparecen algunas de sus metas en relación con la formación e información del profesorado y la constitución de una comunidad que comparte conocimiento en red.

Encuentro con centros plurilingües en el CEFIRE de Benidorm

Hemos participado en un encuentro de centros plurilingües invitados por la inspectora Mª Ángeles García. Básicamente, hemos dado a conocer recursos de tipo general del CEFIRE como la biblioteca virtual (http://www.lavirtu.com), el banco de imágenes o el DVD Fotobook y algunos otros más especializados en el aprendizaje y enseñanza de inglés, como este blog.

Los centros convocados eran:

CEIP Bautista Lledó (Benidorm), CEIP Costa Blanca (Alicante), CEIP Gloria Fuertes (Alzira), CEIP nº 5 (Catarroja), CEIP José Soriano Ramos (Vila-real) y CEIP Sanchís Yago (Castellón)

En el programa figuraban también como ponentes Mª José Llorca y Marc Ramis del CEFIRE de Benidorm, Roberto García del Servicio de Lenguas de la D.G. Ordenación y Mónica García de la editorial Oxford University Press.

Esperamos que esta reunión haya resultado provechosa a centros que han asumido una gran responsabilidad en la enseñanza en inglés desde los primeros años.

Este recurso puede resultar muy útil a la hora de mejorar la comprensión auditiva de inglés y también de otras lenguas o para trabajar la ortografía. Permite realizar dictados online de forma autónoma con diversos niveles de dificultad y con diferentes modalidades de ejercicio (full, quick, blank mode). También ofrece la posibilidad de recoger un historial de resultados como usuario y evaluar así las mejoras y de aportar nuevos audios para su uso por parte de la comunidad.

Conversation Questions for the ESL/EFL Classroom

A large group of questions which you can use in your ESL conversation classes. You can save the page "as text", edit it to be more appropriate for your own students and add any additional questions you can think of.

- Print out the questions and let students work in pairs asking the questions alternately.
- Divide the questions into two pages, give half the questions to one student and half to another and let them work in pairs.
- In a small class, the teacher may want to use the questions to get a conversation going about a given topic.

Lit2Go

Lit2Go is an online service of Florida’s Educational Technology Clearinghouse. It offers a free online collection of stories and poems in mp3 (audiobook) format. 

You can:

- Browse by author, title, reading level, subject matter, etc.
- Download the files to your mp3 player and listen on the go,
- Listen to the mp3 files on your computer,
- View the text on a webpage and read along as you listen,
- Print out the stories and poems to make your own book.

An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Inglés en el IES La Nía de Aspe

Ayer visité el IES La Nía de Aspe, donde se están llevando a cabo dos iniciativas interesantes desde el punto de vista de la formación plurilingüe: un proyecto de formación en centros y un grupo de trabajo, que pretenden mejorar la competencia del profesorado en inglés, imprescindible para cualquier futura implementación de programas plurilingües en el centro.

La sesión del grupo de trabajo tenía que ver con educación en países de habla inglesa, vocabulario, contraste de experiencias y comparación con el sistema educativo de otros países, etc.

El proyecto de formación en centros cuenta con la participación de Nuria Company, profesora de la EOI de Elda, como asesora externa.
